Book Promo

No ladies and gents, I have not forgot about the book promo. I'm waiting for Kindle to let me, which should be very soon. I will more than likely check tonight after classes. The semester has started for Fall down here; however, that does not mean book two is put on hold. We are still working diligently to complete the book in a timely matter. However, thanks to Michele Gardners AMAZING daughter, we have a cover for book two! Her photography is amazing.

So if you any of you would like to take advantage of our Kindle count down, I will be posting on here and Twitter. Thank you for your wonderful support and we are looking forward to your review on Amazon!

The Real Problem

I have continued to read more following Robin Williams death. Twitter, Facebook, Yahoo, pretty much anything writing articles about this. I have also read many, many comments. Some were sad and some extremely rude. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. However, giving careful consideration and just the underlining circumstances, I do not believe what Williams did was selfish nor taking the"easy" way out. This man had an illness. An illness that exhaust people. One can never really explain what an illness can do to someone unless you have experienced it first hand. How can I explain the physical and mental symptoms of, lets say, MS if I have never experienced it. Having an illness changes a persons thought process. How? You would have to ask them.
Even with everything that Williams has been suffering through, I do not believe he did this to take this easy way out. I do not believe Robin Williams killed himself; I do believe his illness did. Depression is a serious illness that no one should take likely. More needs to be done to help with this, and I don't mean providing medications with side effects that can make it even worse. Off to a side note, here is a prime example of what I am talking about. A family member of mine went to see a new pain specialist to help with the pain in their hips from double surgeries. Prescribed a new medicine, here are the side effects:

~Thoughts about suicide or dying.
~Attempts to commit suicide.
~New or worsen depression.
~New or worsen anxiety.
~Feeling agitated or restless.
~Panic attacks.
~Insomnia.
~New or worsen irritability.
~Acting aggressive, being angry or violent.
~Acting on dangerous impulses.
~Extreme increase in activity and talking (mania)

Can you believe this shit? However, you won't have any pain... maybe. Oh, lets not forget that the doctor advised my family member that these new pain meds were safer than Lortab. If you or anyone you know suffer from depression and have ever thought about suicide, please use the number below.

Sad Day

It's a sad day today for everyone across the world. Robin Williams, Actor/ Comedian, will be truly missed. He was a huge figure in my childhood and loved his movies. As I read different articles about his passing, it seems Williams was suffering from depression. Just because you cannot physically see an illness, it does not mean that it doesn't play a devastating part on the inside. I do not believe suicide is the answer; however, I have never been in the mind of someone suffering with depression. I have personally watched family and friends slip into depression; it's an absolute terrible thing. If someone you know is suffering with depression, realize it is a serious illness. Sadly, Williams thought he did not have another way out.

R.I.P Robin Williams~You will be forever missed!

Hey guys!

Hello there everyone! Hope your Saturday is going great. It's kind of nice not having to work on book two of The Black Inheritance right now. I do have my second book I have been working on, but it seems to be going a lot easier than the other. With my recent free time, I have been making my daughter and the neighbors little girl hair bows :). Mostly the big girl southern bows. One of my favorite things to do when I actually have the time.
My mom has been doing very well since her surgery; she is up walking around more with not so much pain. Thank you to everyone who has asked about her. It really meant a lot. So, about this new book I have been working on, it's going to be very fantasy based. The genre for the book will be the following: Fiction, Fantasy, Romance. It will be more adult rated. I really am pretty excited bringing this story together! I do plan on keeping everyone updated about the book as much as possible without giving too much away! With that being said, I have a two-year-old that is pretty cranky and it looks like her bed time is going to be very soon. Hope you all have a wonderful night!

Have you read to your child lately?
