It has been a few weeks since I have made a post. I want to apologize. Between working on the book, I have been dealing with migraines and two toothaches. However, I have an amazing post for you today. About a sweet little girl who has taken the hearts of many with just a smile.
Her name is Ali and she was diagnosed with Infantile Batten's disease. I don't want to use the word "suffer" for the simple fact that no matter what Batten's has brought to the table, she comes out with the most heartwarming smile!
What is Batten's? Batten's is a disease that is always fatal. There is absolutely no cure, and all these parents can do is provide the best quality of life for the children while they still have precious time with them. The amount of time parents have with their children varies from child to child. I have followed some children on Facebook who have unfortunately passed away in a years time and then there are some children still hanging in there 3-4 years later. Right now there are at least nine types of variations of Batten's and like I said life expectancy for each child is different. Batten's robs a child from their childhood; taking away the ability to walk, talk, takes away motor skills, their vision, along with so much more. While it takes away all of that, it replaces them with seizures, uncontrollable jerks and unfortunately a whirl wind of medical problems.
Who is Ali?
This adorable little girl is Ali from Ali's Angels! Visit her on Facebook and offer your prayers! I have continuously kept up with Ali's updates; only within a very short time did I realize how strong Ali's mother and her Nini Cat really are and the amount of love they always surround her with. Each picture shows nothing but true love and remarkable strength. Always remember God has a plan and he only places his hardest situations on the ones he knows can truly take care of his children.
So lets all do something for Ali!!! Her birthday is coming up and lets bombard her with more Facebook likes and prayers! You can never have too many prayers!
How can you go wrong with that smile! I am absolutely in love and in awe of this super strong little girl! It only takes a moment to click Ali's link and like her Facebook page. Their you can find more info on Ali, Batten's and Batten's funding. Nope I am not asking you to spend a single dime. Prayers are needed more than anything.....along with a cure!
Help spread Batten's awareness!
