Good Morning!

Hope everyone is having a wonderful Tuesday morning and had a wonderful Christmas! With the Holidays, and writing on two books, I have been a little busy. So, I am sitting here with coffee, my 3 year old coloring and watching Disney, and about to get back to doing what I love, writing. It's been a bit cold and rainy this past week; it is the perfect time to write. :)
For more updates, don't forget to follow me on Twitter @DarkWildBeauty

I am not quite sure how long my daughters coloring and being quiet will last, so no more procrastinating, back to book two I go! Before I leave here is a photo of Miss Annalisa super happy that Santa brought her baby doll. <3

A Letter Worth Reading

This is a little off topic, but I needed to share. As I was procrastinating writing this morning, I came across an article on Facebook. It was a letter a woman wrote to her ex husband. If you have not came across it, I have posted the link at the bottom. I automatically assumed this was going to be some nasty letter, and I really could not handle anymore nastiness from our society this morning. (If you follow any 'awareness' pages on Facebook, you know what I mean.) So, I scrolled passed the link a few times, and finally was like okay, I am just going to read this. Once I read this beautiful letter, I was shocked at some of the replies. Here is what I wrote:

First, I would like to address the letter. I personally think it is beautiful that these two can have a relationship despite the situation. I have seen first hand how hard it is for ex wives, new wives, step siblings, stepchildren, and the stepparent. It can go in so many ways, depending on the act of everyone. These two decided to take the path of calmness and peace. Yet, now I see a lot judgment against these two decision to make peace, and raise a child without hate or anger. So what if they believe this was God’s plan? Who are you to question? Does this families actions include any of us, or interrupt our daily routine? Let’s be grateful that another child does not have to witness screaming, know the feeling of being unwanted by someone who is married to their mother/father. We forget how many other children suffer emotionally and/or abusively because of the lack of thoughts from “adults” that forget it’s not just about them, but there are children watching, listening, learning. How can one letter that brought this family peace, bring unkind words here?

Among all the nastiness in the world today, it brings back hope when you get to read something like this. I wish more families would consider this route.

Hello

Afternoon everyone! Hope you are having a descent Monday. My daughter and I had makeup day :).

Today has been one of the those extra lazy days, but at least I got the house cleaned up. Shopping in a few, then back to writing. I have recently been stuck on a part of the manuscript; not sure which way I want to go with the story. So, I have been staring at the computer, sipping on coffee, and my mind still draws a blank. I am hoping getting out of the house for a few will get me back in the groove of writing. If not, then I can always occupy some of my time with making Annalisa new bows (haha).

If I'm not mistaking my last post included that I would share a picture of Annalisa's Frozen birthday.

This beauty was snapped right before the singing began, and that's when the smile went away. She did not like everyone singing Happy Birthday (ha). Oh, before I forget, I will be doing a new hair routine with both mine and my daughters. We both have pretty long hair, and since I am all about hair, I am taming Annalisa's hair now while she is still young. I will be posting pictures and follow ups. If anyone would like to know the remedy we use, I will eventually post it if it turns out the way I want it :).

If you have not got around to getting the first few chapters of The Black Inheritance, just click the link below to get started reading ;).

What's To Come

The Black Inheritance

To Annalisa, the supernatural was something one would read about in a book or see in movies. In reality the dead had their eye on Anna. The unexpected death of her father unlocks the past that has been hidden, and a sudden decision to move to Black Mountain, North Carolina brings more than just a quiet new beginning. A small pendant protects a dangerous secret, yet an ancestor with the desire for revenge exposes the power within a sixteen year old, Annalisa Easton. Century’s old black magic resurfaces in a fury, awakening a dark secret that has been held quiet for way too long.

Distorting Anna’s reality from her dreams, could put her on the path to murdering an innocent man.

Anna’s dreams begin to take a darker route, and it doesn't take long before she questions her sanity. She is being haunted by an ancestor; her Aunt Marie, a witch on the hunt for revenge.  Her undertaking is to take the life of the only living descendant of the man that introduced her to death. She is hell bent on vengeance, and is unable to claim the magic Anna possesses. Marie is able to awaken the powers through Annalisa’s dreams that will seduce her to a place she cannot ignore. When Anna begins to feel the icy chill of death breathing down her neck, a familiar boy emerges from the shadows of her dreams; providing a comfort that unconsciously entices her.
Allies, Blake, who has broken an old treaty to protect Annalisa, and Helena, who is charged with keeping Marie away from Anna, are watching her around the clock. However, with Anna eventually forced to confront the dead face to face it will take all of their powers combined to protect her. It’s time for the past to make itself known and life, as Anna knows it, will never be the same.
Black Mountain will become a place of mystery and intrigue. Does she have what it takes to navigate the route chosen for her by fate?

The Black Inheritance: Cursed Soul

After the death of Jeff and Amanda, things begin settling in Black Mountain, for the moment. Annalisa even befriends some of Blake's friends; finding others that share her uniqueness, she starts to feel less alone. Penelope, a spunky seventeen-year-old, quickly becomes close friends with Anna, while Michele, a fiery red head, tries to keep her distance from Anna. Michele begins to notice the connection Blake has with Anna, and jealousy is getting the better of her. She is determined to not let the new girl in town take what she feels is hers, Blake.

Laura has become preoccupied with work and may have a love interest stealing some of her spare time. Anna in the mean time has let herself become closer to Blake, well aware of Michele's dislike for her, yet that doesn't stop the heated feelings within for him. Through the weeks with no real signs of Marie, no one is paying attention to Sydney, giving Marie and Hannah the perfect opportunity to use Sydney to get what they want.

The peace comes to an end when a new boy comes to town, Derek. Anna soon becomes entranced with the boy who resembles her dead boyfriend, Tony. Blake feels he has lost Anna, and there's more to Derek he can't quite sniff out. With Sydney growing weaker, her very life is in the palm of Marie's hand. The magic between Anna and her ancestors has been growing, and Anna will do anything to save her sisters life.

Reporting

Nothing really new to report to everyone. The manuscript is coming along nicely, and I have a few ideas for a side book :). I'm pretty excited about it! The price for The Black Inheritance has dropped for the Kindle! However, that doesn't mean we aren't going to do future book promotions. When KDP allows, the next promo will be, so that you can get the eBook for free! Free is always good, right?

So back to the 'side book' idea, I can tell you it's going to lean into the fiction, romance, supernatural genre once more. Don't worry, it will be in a different direction of our current book :). If you have yet to see the new face of The Black Inheritance, click the link below!

The Black Inheritance is currently unpublished from Kindle. Hope you enjoyed the promo; however, it won't be off of Kindle long! We are only lowering the price for your benefit :). We will let everyone know when it's back up on Kindle! You can still hit up Amazon for the paperback version!

Just a reminder

The Black Inheritance will be going on sale for $.99 for the Kindle starting 10/20 @ 12am EST. If you don't have a Kindle, you can download the app on just about any smart phone or tablet. I'm pretty excited about the new face of the book as well :). Newer material was added towards the first book, and it looks like book two is going to be longer than the first. We are still working diligently on book two; the only problem so far is dividing ideas to be placed in either book two or book three. Not to mention which ideas are crucial and which ideas can be tossed.

So when you grab your copy make sure to visit us on Amazon and leave a review! We are looking forward to your opinions and hope you enjoy becoming entwined with Annalisa and Blake!

Darkness

Night is not something to endure until dawn.
It is an element, like wind or fire.
Darkness is its own kingdom;
It moves to its own laws, and
Many living things dwell in it.”

     -Patricia A. Mckillip

Night is where Annalisa has succumbed to her nightmares. Curiosity brings her to a place with old spirits and manipulation of reality. Murder is not to far out of the box for Annalisa as she weakens to the calling of her heirloom. With a deceitful mission of his own, Blake's plan gradually changes when his priorities shift protecting Anna.

The Black Inheritance will be available on sale for $.99 starting 10/20 @ 12am EST time. You can purchase your copy in time for Halloween at Amazon.co.uk
Michele and I hope you enjoy your Kindle version, and book two is still in the works!

The Black Inheritance

Annalisa inherits a family heirloom after the unexpected death of her father. This charm has been passed down for decades, always hidden, never worn. She and her family move to a quaint little place in Black Mountain, North Carolina for a new start. Soon Anna's dreams beckon her into the woods behind her new home; a place she may not have the strength to return from.
Getting lost in the distortion of her dreams, Anna finds Blake. A boy around town that has a suspicious aura about him that sets him apart. Causally making himself comfortable in Anna's life, his life is soon consumed of helping keep Anna alive.

Annalisa does her best keeping any slight feelings she has for Blake from manifesting. With the  passing of her boyfriend, Tony, Anna cannot see herself loving anyone so soon. However, Blake's presence becomes the norm for her as she expects to see him in person or in her dreams for comfort.
Three of Anna's ancestors are back for revenge. Using Anna anyway they can, they are set on murdering the last remaining bloodline of those who murdered them. Anna has something her ancestors want, and they will go to great lengths to get what rightfully belongs to them.

Another sad passing

Just twelve hours after sweet Ali passed away, Sophia passed away from Battens as well. I'd like to think and picture Ali, happy and healthy, smiling as she waited for her friend Sophia to arrive. Although Sophia did not get to spend a lot of time here on Earth, she touched so many people, and taught so many of us just what kind of monster Battens is. Children should NOT have to suffer like this! Please keep Sophia's family in your prayers as they grieve the loss of their loved on. Sophia Grace, you will be forever missed! Fly high sweet girl!

With a heavy heart...

With a very heavy heart, Sweet Ali passed away today to be with our Father. Where she is no longer suffering, she now flies high! Ali fought hard against Batten's disease, and if I may say so myself, put up a amazing fight! Her smile lit up the world, literally. People all over the world follow Ali's Facebook page, and her smile could make any day brighter. As I logged on to Facebook today, expecting the sad news of this sweet girls passing was furthest from my mind. My heart broke into a million pieces not only over this news, but for her dear mother Donya and her nini cat along with her older brother. I could not imagine the loss of a child, and my prayers are definitely with them in their time of need. Batten's is a cruel, cruel disease with no cure. We NEED to find a cure as soon as possible. I have seen too many innocent children taken away way too early over this disease! Lets fund and give a heavy push into finding a cure!

However, thanks to Michele Gardners AMAZING daughter, we have a cover for book two! Her photography is amazing.

So if you any of you would like to take advantage of our Kindle count down, I will be posting on here and Twitter. Thank you for your wonderful support and we are looking forward to your review on Amazon!

The Real Problem

I have continued to read more following Robin Williams death. Twitter, Facebook, Yahoo, pretty much anything writing articles about this. I have also read many, many comments. Some were sad and some extremely rude. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. However, giving careful consideration and just the underlining circumstances, I do not believe what Williams did was selfish nor taking the"easy" way out. This man had an illness. An illness that exhaust people. One can never really explain what an illness can do to someone unless you have experienced it first hand. How can I explain the physical and mental symptoms of, lets say, MS if I have never experienced it. Having an illness changes a persons thought process. How? You would have to ask them.
Even with everything that Williams has been suffering through, I do not believe he did this to take this easy way out. I do not believe Robin Williams killed himself; I do believe his illness did. Depression is a serious illness that no one should take likely. More needs to be done to help with this, and I don't mean providing medications with side effects that can make it even worse. Off to a side note, here is a prime example of what I am talking about. A family member of mine went to see a new pain specialist to help with the pain in their hips from double surgeries. Prescribed a new medicine, here are the side effects:

~Thoughts about suicide or dying.
~Attempts to commit suicide.
~New or worsen depression.
~New or worsen anxiety.
~Feeling agitated or restless.
~Panic attacks.
~Insomnia.
~New or worsen irritability.
~Acting aggressive, being angry or violent.
~Acting on dangerous impulses.
~Extreme increase in activity and talking (mania)

Can you believe this shit? However, you won't have any pain... maybe. Oh, lets not forget that the doctor advised my family member that these new pain meds were safer than Lortab. If you or anyone you know suffer from depression and have ever thought about suicide, please use the number below.

Sad Day

It's a sad day today for everyone across the world. Robin Williams, Actor/ Comedian, will be truly missed. He was a huge figure in my childhood and loved his movies. As I read different articles about his passing, it seems Williams was suffering from depression. Just because you cannot physically see an illness, it does not mean that it doesn't play a devastating part on the inside. I do not believe suicide is the answer; however, I have never been in the mind of someone suffering with depression. I have personally watched family and friends slip into depression; it's an absolute terrible thing. If someone you know is suffering with depression, realize it is a serious illness. Sadly, Williams thought he did not have another way out.

R.I.P Robin Williams~You will be forever missed!

Hey guys!

Hello there everyone! Hope your Saturday is going great. It's kind of nice not having to work on book two of The Black Inheritance right now. I do have my second book I have been working on, but it seems to be going a lot easier than the other. With my recent free time, I have been making my daughter and the neighbors little girl hair bows :). Mostly the big girl southern bows. One of my favorite things to do when I actually have the time.
My mom has been doing very well since her surgery; she is up walking around more with not so much pain. Thank you to everyone who has asked about her. It really meant a lot. So, about this new book I have been working on, it's going to be very fantasy based. The genre for the book will be the following: Fiction, Fantasy, Romance. It will be more adult rated. I really am pretty excited bringing this story together! I do plan on keeping everyone updated about the book as much as possible without giving too much away! With that being said, I have a two-year-old that is pretty cranky and it looks like her bed time is going to be very soon. Hope you all have a wonderful night!

Have you read to your child lately?

Good Morning!

Good morning fellow bloggers, authors and readers. My co author and I have continued to work on the book, The Black Inheritance: The Cursed Soul, and it looks like this book is going to be longer than the first :). We are having fun writing this book, since there is a lot more unfolding with Anna and Blake's lives. Oh, and I can't forget little Sydney.
I have not forgot about the book promos. My mother recently had to have surgery that is going to keep out of work for six weeks, so I have been helping out. Hoping to get the book promos out at least by the end of August.
I am relieved from the book for awhile. Thankfully Michele is taking over the writing :). Means I can work a little on the second book while I sit here drinking coffee and listening to the unexpected storm outside. I have gotten maybe two hours of sleep last night, so we are going to see what kind of day this turns out to be (lol)! Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Crazy Crazy

It has been a few weeks since I have posted. It has been a little hectic. I registered for Fall classes, been working on book two of The Black Inheritance, another book idea has been nagging constantly in the back of my mind, so I have also been working on a new book as well and to top it off my mother will be having surgery this upcoming Monday. It has just been crazy, along with my daughter hitting that lovely stage and going through this "no" stage.

Here very soon we will be doing another FREE book promo on the Kindle for The Black Inheritance. I will make sure to get everyone posted asap when the time comes; also I will be on my Twitter with some more updates, so do not forget to check out my Twitter and follow me at DarkWildBeauty. If you happen to miss out on the free promo, we will be running a discounted promotion for your chance to grab it up cheap! Any readers that get a chance to read the book, we would greatly appreciate it if you left us a review! Good or ugly we would like your opinion!

I will be back with a later update! Maybe I can give everyone a sneak peek into my new book I have been working on that has been buzzing around my head for weeks! I'm actually pretty excited about it :).
Hope you all have a wonderful day.

Good Afternoon

Afternoon everyone! Hope your Tuesday is going well. Before I start my writing today, I have decided to throw a little heart breaking twist in for Blake... I know, poor guy. Has Anna found a new beau or is someone tampering with her mind? If so, then who? I guess you will have to read book two to find out these answers! Blake who has dedicated himself to protect Anna, has come to deeply care for her. Since his own family of Shapeshifters has abandoned him for helping the Easton's, he finds himself alone once again. Sydney's soul is being tampered with and with Anna's head in the clouds over her new romances, saving her may come to late.

Check out our first book, The Black Inheritance, to catch up on Anna, Blake and Sydney.

Ali's Angels

It has been a few weeks since I have made a post. I want to apologize. Between working on the book, I have been dealing with migraines and two toothaches. However, I have an amazing post for you today. About a sweet little girl who has taken the hearts of many with just a smile.
Her name is Ali and she was diagnosed with Infantile Batten's disease. I don't want to use the word "suffer" for the simple fact that no matter what Batten's has brought to the table, she comes out with the most heartwarming smile!
What is Batten's? Batten's is a disease that is always fatal. There is absolutely no cure, and all these parents can do is provide the best quality of life for the children while they still have precious time with them. The amount of time parents have with their children varies from child to child. I have followed some children on Facebook who have unfortunately passed away in a years time and then there are some children still hanging in there 3-4 years later. Right now there are at least nine types of variations of Batten's and like I said life expectancy for each child is different. Batten's robs a child from their childhood; taking away the ability to walk, talk, takes away motor skills, their vision, along with so much more. While it takes away all of that, it replaces them with seizures, uncontrollable jerks and unfortunately a whirl wind of medical problems.

Who is Ali?

This adorable little girl is Ali from Ali's Angels! Visit her on Facebook and offer your prayers! I have continuously kept up with Ali's updates; only within a very short time did I realize how strong Ali's mother and her Nini Cat really are and the amount of love they always surround her with. Each picture shows nothing but true love and remarkable strength. Always remember God has a plan and he only places his hardest situations on the ones he knows can truly take care of his children.
So lets all do something for Ali!!! Her birthday is coming up and lets bombard her with more Facebook likes and prayers! You can never have too many prayers!

How can you go wrong with that smile! I am absolutely in love and in awe of this super strong little girl! It only takes a moment to click Ali's link and like her Facebook page. Their you can find more info on Ali, Batten's and Batten's funding. Nope I am not asking you to spend a single dime. Prayers are needed more than anything.....along with a cure!
Help spread Batten's awareness!

The Black Inheritance: The Cursed Soul

Since my last post, I have been working on the book along with still organizing ideas. If you could see my folder, it is completely disorganized. Four note pads are filled with scattered thoughts as "I try" to keep them organized. Thankfully the confusion of this mess comes out clearly on the manuscript. Yes, I have tried to keep them organized and neat, but that only causes more confusion for me (lol). The discombobulation of which are my notes, keep my thoughts straight and the story moving. A small file cabinet would do wonders for me at the moment; I usually don't throw out any notes or written manuscripts even after moved to computer. I would not categorize myself as a hoarder, but saving such things has helped me out a lot in the past.

With that being said, I have hit a minor word blockage with the manuscript. After looking over it and looking over it, I have decided it would be best to delete the last few sentences and change it in a way that won't be as difficult to continue. It's not that important of a sentence that it is crucial that it need to be there. So lets just hope I am not the only author that has done it (lol). Say screw the sentence lets move on :). Oh and before I forget to mention, I have had ideas for a whole different book floating around my head for days now. It's funny how inspiration can come from just about anywhere. I am sure many of you writers out there do not have to look far for inspiration. The only hill you may have to climb would be how to lay out your amazing ideas into an amazing story. A few years ago, before I had a manuscript in mind, I did hours of researching different people's ideas on writing a story. Rather it be short stories, novels or even kids books, it just about said the same thing on each blog. It's easier to head to paper and pen first. Write down ideas you want for the book, who are your main characters, what is their past, how old will they be, but most importantly pick a specific genre of people you are reaching for. Always remember, your book will not be every one's cup of tea. That does not mean it's not an amazing book.

Before I head out to hopefully continue where I have been stuck at, here is a little piece of The Black Inheritance: The Cursed Soul

Marie lifted the hood of her cloak and placed it over her head just above her eyes, her contemplation of going after the charm forced her gaze back to Anna’s window. “Not yet. We have not been told to attack. Patience sister, she will have her time with death soon.

Late nights and coffee

Late nights and coffee can fuel either one of two things: great ideas or what you thought was a great idea, but it turns out you just needed sleep. One of the best things about having my co author near by is I can depend on her to tell me if it is great, or if I just need to stop. I continued to organize my ideas and thoughts for the book last night, coffee close by, and I had the most fantastic idea for a twist no reader will see coming.

Running it by her, I needed to make sure that is wasn't going to "over crowd" the book. Give you, the reader, to much to keep up with. As my co author, Michele Styles Gardner, has said she read books that had way to much in the book to even remotely keep up with, so it made the book unappealing. Thankfully the idea did sound great and I can get to planning where I want it to start. I am pretty excited about getting started, but I honestly can't wait until everyone can get to read it!

Now it's time for me to get back to Annalisa and Blake's life. Romance, deception, manipulation and death can always make for an epic cliff hanger.

Happy Thursday

Happy Thursday everyone! Hang in there; the weekend is almost here! I have put the book to the side for two days, but will be back writing soon. I can already see my weekend will also be working on the book. There are moments where I do have to back away from writing, and start making notes of ideas my brain can't keep up with alone, lol. Right now I am debating the level of romance between Annalisa and Blake for not only book two, but also the next. Keeping these two books separated may pose a challenge. Only because I want to tell everyone what's going to happen haha!

Batten disease is a rare genetic disorder. For a child to have the disease, he or she must inherit two recessive genes for the disease, one from each parent.

Have you taken the time to read about Batten's? Above is a little info on this disease. Please take a moment to Google Batten's and become familiar with this deadly disease.

So, while I make this post a short one, my coffee is ready and my daughter is occupied. That is my cue to get my butt to writing! Hopefully I can make it back here later for a better post :).

Spread The Awareness

Okay readers, here is a part of me that I am so passionate about. You look at your child and have a flood of emotions and hopeful future expectations. Maybe seeing them in their little pink tutu during a ballet recital, or being that soccer mom/dad. It is your mission in life to protect them; we want to protect our children from anything that could hurt them. However, have you ever stopped for a moment and think what would I do if anything happened to them? Some may say no and that is completely understandable. We don't want to think about anything bad happening. Yet there is a killer. A crude, emotionless, silent killer that is taking away the lives of our children. It's name? Batten's Disease.

Batten's Disease is something so vile that no child has a chance. Imagine you are looking at your child playing in the yard, collecting flowers, finding bugs, making mud pies, and then all you know is taken away. Batten's is a mutated gene that is inherited by both parents. No random testing is done at birth to check to see if your child carries this gene. When it decides to creep out of the shadows, it usually starts with unexplained seizures, vision loss and/or increased clumsiness. As it progress's it causes blindness, mobility loss, no longer able to eat or drink, no longer to speak, no longer to do what children do. The end result is always fatal. There is no cure.

This is miss Sophia. A beauty that is suffering with Batten's Disease. I follow quite a few pages on Facebook of children who suffer with this disease. Every time I see a child lose their hard fought battle to Batten's, it always breaks my heart. There is no question that a cure needs to be found and fast! Educate yourself on Batten's and spread the awareness!
We have to Bee-lieve a cure will be found!

Pinterest

So I have been scoping around Pinterest on some ideas that Annalisa could do for her grandpa on Father's day. Now this one I saw, isn't something she can do just yet, but I thought I would share for anyone who are running low on idea's. It's simple and you don't have to cook. Well someone needs to heat up the waffle lol.

To me this just looks amazing and I could probably eat it now haha. I am still digging for ideas and will possibly post more cute ideas that children can do!

Thank You!

Thank you all for the wonderful turn out with the free book promo! We reached over 500 people, to some that may not be many, but we are pretty excited! We honestly hope you enjoy the book and take a moment to leave us a review on Amazon! I have been steady working on the second book; no there has not been any decision on a book cover. I keep telling myself to put it off, and concentrate on the manuscript, but yeah I see little things that spark an idea. I guess I will continue to go back and forth on that while I continue the book.

So Father's Day is approaching and will be here soon! Time for me to get in gear and plan something for mine. If you would like, feel free to share your Father's Day ideas!

Sale ending soon

Last reminder that The Black Inheritance sale ends shortly! Get to know Annalisa, Sydney and Blake in this Supernatural~Fiction~YA story with a twist of romance coming in book two! I have been some what busy working more on the manuscript. A few times I just had to set it aside; my daughter was miss moody today and nothing was pleasing her. However, now that I have her asleep I will begin writing again shortly.

This is going to go completely off topic now, but I have came across some recipes that I am hoping I can share with you tomorrow. I do enjoy cooking and if I can find something that is healthy yet tasty, I like to post my little findings. I have just started up on fruit smoothies. Not a huge fan of blueberries; however, buying them frozen and adding them to the smoothie is amazing! If you have any healthy recipe ideas, please feel free to comment!

New Day

Hope everyone is having a wonderful day! Here is a little look into my morning!

My plan was to have my coffee and write, but this little one here decided to hang over my shoulder. So after a little persuading, I got her on ABCMouse and now she is occupied :). So I think my plan is still on track!

A little reminder that The Black Inheritance is still on sale! It ends tomorrow, so take a minute and grab your free copy today! Just simply click on the link below. There have been well over 400 units sold with this short 5 day sale which is pretty exciting! There will not be another sale for a couple of months and tomorrow the price goes back to $9.99. Hope you decide to grab a copy!

I am trying to keep the cover idea pushed to the back of my mind. I see things here and there that give me ideas, but all that does for me is complicate things even more. Deciding a book cover should not be this hard! lol. On that note, I may post this evening. Depending on how everything goes with the book today, I may wait until tomorrow.
Have a safe and wonderful Friday!

2 days left!

Logo Design by FlamingText.com
Only two more days until The Black Inheritance sale ends! Pick up your free copy today in the Kindle store! Click the link below to go directly to Amazon.

Book two is coming together! Goal for the moment is to have it published by this Fall. I'm indifferent about the book cover and have not came to a final decision. The cover may not become finished until we are finished with the manuscript; it's not too important at the moment.
Also one more thing, we look forward to your reviews, so if the readers do not mind we would like you to just take a moment to leave us one on Amazon :). It would be gratefully appreciated!

How do you reconcile having to kill a man? Annalisa is being haunted by her ancestor, her Aunt Marie, a witch on the hunt for revenge. Her mission is to take the life of the only living descendant of the man who took hers. Anna inherits a charm from her father after his untimely death in Afghanistan. It holds a dark power that has taken over her dreams. These dreams are dark, brooding, and very frightening. Her new home in North Carolina is both quaint and peaceful, yet the woods behind it beckon her into a place that she may not have the courage to return from. How do you fight evil when it's inherited, embedded in your very soul?

The Black Inheritance is a fiction-YA-supernatural-thriller with a twist of romance coming in book two!

Click the link below to grab your free copy today!

I am about to get myself back to writing on book two, but before I do, I thought I would share the description of what's to come with Annalisa, Sydney and Blake :).

The Easton family spell book is finally back where it belongs. Unfortunately it has fallen into the hands of innocent eleven-year-old Sydney. The power this book holds proves to be too much for her. Hannah is growing impatient, and with Marie they slowly take over. Meanwhile Anna is making new friends and trying to come to terms with her feelings for Blake. Could this romance be happening at the wrong time?
The fight for Sydney's soul begins now.

Indie Authors

Well after doing some thinking about ideas I want for the blog, I actually have came up with a decision to host a page for Indie authors that have a free book they would like advertised. That excludes temporary free books. With everything going on I don't have time to keep up with any book that will be having a free promo, so to skip the hassle it will be free books only.  There is no fee, all you have to do is shoot me an email with subject title: free book along with a link to your book with your name in the email. This is a very simple advertisement for your book that doesn't cost a thing! Please follow WNH if you choose to have your book advertised here :).

Now with that decision being made, I think it's best that I get back to the book. I was right in the middle of writing when the idea just kept coming to mind (haha). Hope you all have a wonderful night/day (depending where you are) and looking forward to having you here at WritersNHeelz (WNH) again!

Book news!

Are you looking for a new read? The Black Inheritance will be FREE starting 5/27 until 5/31 on Kindle! If you don't have a Kindle it is quite okay. On any device you can download the Kindle app for free. Don't miss out and take advantage of a $9.99 for free! The Black Inheritance is the beginning of a trilogy to Annalisa, Sydney and Blake's story of murder, romance and suspicion...oh and 3 dead ancestors that desperately need Annalisa dead.
Fiction~YA~Supernatural~Romance
Find the Kindle version below.

I have been working on book two, The Black Inheritance: The Cursed Soul, all day today and happy to say that I got in about 5500 words in! A break was needed to not only update here, but word blockage was starting to begin. So with my daughter fed, the living room a complete mess because I let her play hard, and a large cup of hot coffee I am hoping the words I need start coming back to me soon! With that being said, I may have a special page on here for anyone with a free book to be able to show off their work with WritersNHeelz. I have to many ideas that I am trying to weed out the a few, so not to over do the blog. However my main mission is to get everyone involved with the blog! :)

Anyhow on another note here is a little something that brighten's my day and keeps me going with school and finishing these books.

Just Getting Back

I would just like to apologize for being absent. I have had a terrible head cold for a week that moved down into my chest. I have been completely lazy this past week trying to recover. Past couple of days I have a terrible cough that kept bringing on headaches, but thankfully today it seems to be subsiding! As I am working on my second book, The Black Inheritance: The Cursed Soul, I plan on coming back later to write more of a post! Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and I will be back this evening!

Happy Mothers Day!

I would like to wish all the awesome moms, aunts and grandmas a very special Mother's Day and hope everyone has a wonderful day! I have had a great day with my daughter! Receieved some beautiful flowers and a HUGE box of chocolate haha. If any of you mothers out there have a little one that is now your heavens angel, I'm sure they are smiling down on you between the clouds. Once a mother always a mother.
~~~~~~~~~~
On another note, I have passed all exams and classes (yay), so now I have plenty of time to work on book two! The Kindle promo ends tonight, so don't forget to grab that copy :). I am pretty excited about book two! We have some great ideas and the best I think will be book three. I will let you guys be the judge of that one! Blake and Annalisa will make their appearance again soon, promise. These two characters, I have come to absolutely love and there is just so much excitement when creating another chapter for them. If you have not got a chance to read "The Black Inheritance" the three main characters Annalisa, Sydney and Blake will draw you in wanting to know what happens next. By far they are my favorite characters!
~~~~~~~~~~
Just a quick reminder that you can check my previous post for a coupon code for Jewelry In Candles! Coupon code excludes scent of the month. I think it's about time to order me a new candle as well! My Black Cherry is almost no more, my next choice will be Honey Suckle :). What is your favorite scent?

Let's Talk Photography

So I am going to ease my blog into more than just Jewelry In Candles. I will continue to host contests and free giveaways, but I am going to bring in some of my other interests as well! I love photography and if anyone knows me I am constantly taking pictures of my daughter. I would love for followers to be engaged and part of this blog, instead of coming and just reading. I am thinking about setting up a Instagram acct to host photo contests, and displaying your photos on the blog. I think it would be fun, please do not submit pictures that you would not like to be put on here :).

I am also huge into DIY projects, so I am thinking about getting different ideas about weekly simple DIY projects. Spring is here and Summer is just around the corner; it is the best time of year to get your projects going and gardens tended to :). So plan to see more than just Jewelry In Candles as I work towards making these changes!

Talking about Jewelry In Candles, have you roamed through the different scents? You can check out my previous post for a coupon code and link to my store!! There will not be any contests or giveaways just yet; I have exams coming up in school and so my attention has been more on studying studying studying (bleh)! I am taking the summer off from school, so that means I will have tons more time to work on our second book. My co author and I have a book published on Amazon called "The Black Inheritance". That is the first book to a trilogy! If you are looking for a good read, find us on Kindle as well!

Everyone have a safe and wonderful weekend! If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to comment below! Here is a little pic (one of my favs) of miss Annalisa :)!

Comment below when you have visited my store and either purchased a candle or tart, I will verify and then will let you know when you are entered :).

I came across a little something that shows the brief process of Jewelry In Candles. The Candles are not already made when you order, but instead are poured when your order. Take a look below at candles when poured.

Each ring, necklace, and earrings come carefully wrapped, and become exciting to wait for as your candle or tart melt to reveal your jewelry! I know when I get a new candle or tart I quickly become a kid and try to wait patiently for the wax to melt down enough :). So join the JIC family with WriterNHeelz! I am excited to see your reveals and can't wait to share the experience of Jewelry In Candles with everyone!
